WHAT DOES WE MEAN BY GREEN-TECH.....

The natural environment of our planet, created over millions of years, is precisely balanced to create the perfect conditions for life to thrive. It provides air, water, food, and thus, the basis for life itself! The desire to understand this miracle has been the driving force behind scientific discoveries for eons. We have come to understand the "tools" nature uses to create such biodiverse ecosystems are microorganisms, fungi, plants, insects, minerals, earth radiation and magnetic field frequencies, ionization and oxidation processes, bacteria and much more.

GEOBALITY’s objective is to eliminate man-made contaminations with the help of nature, respectively with nature-based technologies. For this purpose, we use proven bioremediation processes from selected partners that have shown convincing results in many years of testing and "out of the box" know-how. For each remediation case a special bioremediation solution is developed by experienced experts. GEOBALITY proves that economic efficiency and environmental protection complements each other in remediation projects.

Research and development, understanding natural processes and the correct usage of that knowledge support protect nature.  The natural decomposition times of oil contamination, for example, can take millennia. The most common method used today is called "dig and dump," which is used to move soil that is still contaminated to a landfill. There, toxic hotspots are created, which our future generations will then have to take care of solving.

There is another way: With the help of our nature-based technologies, the contamination can be remediated insitu, i.e. on site, after only a few months!

Currents in rivers and tidal areas can clear harbour mud and industrial waste over the long term through natural sediment movement. With the help of nature-based Geobality technologies, such processes can be economically depicted in short periods of time, allowing the fauna and flora of riverbanks and riverine landscapes to renaturalize more quickly and return to their natural balance. Renewed contamination is absorbed and directly remediated.

Sewage sludge, liquid manure, wastewater, agriculture and greenhouse gases offer broad areas that are solved economically and sustainably by Geobality's nature-based technologies.

Along the way, the official environmental Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are met.

AND: Our children will thank us!

WHAT POLLUTANTS DO WE REMEDIATE.....

  • Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, bismuth, barium, cadmium, chromium, strontium, including radioactive materials.
  • Hydrocarbons, including the full range of petrochemical and industrial byproducts, including BTEX, TPH and PAH.
  • Harmful gases, fluorocarbons and halocarbons, odors.
  • Chlorine, fluorine and related compounds, particulate matter in water, salt.
  • Contamination from agricultural wastes (solids, liquids and gases).
  • Pharmaceuticals and veterinary drugs (including hormones); NO2, NOX and nitrogen compounds, chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
  • Arsenic and cyanide and other industrial pollutants, including all solvents such as trichloroethylene, even if leached at great depths.

WHY ARE OUR TECHNOLOGIES SO SPECIAL ?

Geobality Canada focuses on the in-situ application of various technologies that have been independently developed and tested over many years in several countries. We carry some of these processes under exclusive license. Working closely with clients, professionals and other contractors on the project, specific solutions are developed for each application, utilizing the technologies available to us as part of the service chain.

Through these processes we are able to really solve contaminations, to activate, optimize and considerably accelerate the natural processes. For example, contaminants are encapsulated, transformed and rendered virtually harmless as a fast-acting in-situ process under favourable climatic and local conditions in only about 3-6 weeks of pure remediation time.

Fast, efficient and cost-effective!

The specific remediation materials that we add to the contaminated soil in these processes consist of 100% organic minerals, local microorganisms and nutrients from natural sources. Specific concepts are developed for each case. Geobality Canada offers this technology as an exclusive licensee and combines it with other methods as required. The processes have already been successfully demonstrated in the areas of brownfields, agriculture, livestock and wastewater remediation.

Easy to use - In special situations, our methods can also be used under existing buildings and pathways. In such cases, the costs for demolition and new construction can be eliminated or reduced.

The duration of the pure remediation procedures depends on the decontamination methods and the local conditions.

  • Water contamination in rivers or in sewage treatment plants, odor reduction in agriculture and landfills take about 2-4 months for significant improvements.
  • Remediation in agriculture depends on the growth cycles.
  • Soil remediation of oil or heavy metal contamination takes between 2 and 18 months (depending on local conditions and the remediation methods used)*).

Insitu remediation methods enable remediation through minimal intervention in the soil or groundwater system. This not only minimizes the impact on the environment compared to conventional "dig and dump" methods, but also reduces costs as less machinery, transport logistics, landfill or special disposal and personnel are required.

HOW WE WORK ...

Each contamination is unique due to its various influencing factors. To remediate them, we use purely biological processes. All previous results of these processes prove the ecological effectiveness, short remediation times, simplicity and cost reduction. GEOBALITY combines these processes to achieve the best possible results for the environment and for our customers. Continuous development and integration of new research by our partners in Canada and Europe ensures the repeatability and quality of our work.

Data from soil and water samples are first evaluated in a multi-step process. Our services are of embedded in remediation concepts prepared by expert consultants. The responsible project management team coordinates all actions taken and companies involved to ensure that work orders are completed in a timely fashion.
